Team Beluga Air

Beluga Air has an excellent reputation on the Kenai Peninsula, with a 40-year history of excellent service and safety.

Pilot and Owner

Brian Harry

Brian is no stranger to Alaska’s wild frontiers. For years, he’s run a tight, dialed-in operation at Intricate Bay Lodge, where attention to detail, deep experience, and old-school grit have earned him a strong reputation in the industry.

But Brian’s role goes far beyond lodge life. He’s a seasoned bush pilot and certified flight instructor. Owning Foothill Aviation helps Brian keep his skills honed year round. He trains the next generation of aviators to fly float planes and off airport bush planes both in Alaska and California. His approach to flying is grounded in precision, safety, and deep respect for the unforgiving terrain he knows so well.

Now, with his recent purchase of Beluga Air, Brian is excited to carry on the legacy built by Wes and Angela, who made the company what it is today. He’s committed to honoring their vision while continuing to grow and elevate the experience for guests.

Beluga Air will continue offering world-class bear viewing toursglacier flightseeing, flight training and remote air taxi service—with the same dependable, friendly service people have come to expect. Whether you're flying to the wilderness, into a remote village, or above towering glaciers and rugged coastline, you’re in expert hands.

Angela A. Head

Owner/General Manager

Angela originally hails from the desert Southwest and grew up in Northern Arizona, where she worked with her father at the family lumberyard. Here, she acquired her administrative experience and learned about bookkeeping for a small business.

Graduate studies in Marine Biology eventually took Angela to the coast, and she lived in Southern California for eight years, finding work as a biological observer on commercial fishing boats and traveling between Alaska and California seasonally. In 2010, after driving up the Al-Can the second time, she just stayed. Angela has enjoyed her travels all over the world, but for now is loving being a part of Homer’s wonderful community. She loves hiking, jogging, skiing, snorkeling, and being mom to three awesome kids.

Isa brings joy to everyone’s day with a smile and is our official office gardener and strawberry connoisseur!

Bill will be hard at work on the dock helping lend a hand with hauling freight and cargo, cleaning the plane, and any other task he can! He has a depth of knowledge about our aircraft and would be glad to share its capabilities!

Wesley often welcomes our day trip guests back to the office. Be sure not to miss him as he will be handing out stickers to returning guests!

    "Unforgettable Bear Viewing!"

“You could not ask for a more accommodating and friendly staff — Angela & Wes Head. Angela arranged 2 fabulous bear viewing adventures at Hallo Bay, Katmai National Park and Wes was our expert pilot. If you’re in Homer, Alaska do not hesitate in using their many services.”

"Could not have had a better day."

“Great experience starting with booking right thru the final debrief. Great communication and instruction from Kelsey and Angela. Wes; the ‘infamous’ ‘Back Country Pilot’s, commentary is a perfect mix of ‘history lessons, funny stories and genuine BS. We are glad we chose Beluga for our day trip to Brooks Falls!!”

    "Best Bear Viewing"

Exceptional and entertaining pilot, excellent bear guide and the most amazing day watching dozens of bears and a fox up close in Katmai National Park. I’ve lived in Alaska for nearly two decades and have been out there before but this was an exceptional day I will never forget! Thank you Beluga Air, Angela, Wes and Dave!
