Discovery Flight- Learn to fly a floatplane!
What could possibly top this - your introduction to aviation on a real-life Alaskan floatplane! Take flight with Wes Head, Certified Flight Instructor and 12,000-hour Bush Pilot in our Aeronca Sedan on floats. Pilot/CFI Wes has been flying for over 35 years and loves introducing people to the view from his office. On this introductory discovery flight you will be able to do your first takeoff off of Beluga Lake. Wes will show you the basics of our aircraft and give you your first flight lesson while seeing breathtaking Kachemak Bay from the air.
What’s Included:
-Learn to fly! From the take off to the landing and beautiful flight in between, you get real hands-on adventure flying a floatplane.
-No experience or license is required.
-Fly left seat (captains seats) on the first flight.
-You are at the controls guided by Certified Flight Instructor Wes at your side.
-Bring a guest to watch from the back seat or take photos/video.
-Receive a sticker at the end of your adventure.
-Take photos with the plane and Instructor if you’d like!
-All lessons offered in our Aeronca Sedan on floats.
Total time: 1 hour
-Safety briefing
-30 minutes of ground training
-30 minutes of 1-on-1 flight time
